With deep regret we received the news of the loss of Comrade Pedro P. Beguisa who has sadly passed away on the 29th of May.
Comrade Beguisa who served as Secretary General of the PKP -1930 for these last 15 years was active within this party since 1970 and was a source of inspiration for his tireless efforts to propagate Marxism Leninism amongst the masses and for his participation in the struggle for National Democracy and Socialism in the interest of the working population of the Philippines.
Please convey the condolences of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Malta to the Leadership of the PKP – 1930 and also to his immediate family.
I had the good fortune to meet Comrade Beguisa on two different occasions in Athens and will remember him as an intelligent person of great knowledge, with whom I exchanged information about party work in our respective countries
Finally the CC of the CPM extends its solidarity to the PKP-1930 in this grave moment of this setback, and we are sure that the PKP-1930 will overcome and continue in its efforts to liberate and emancipate the working people of the Philippines from the yoke of U.S. Imperialism.
